1.2 Technical Positions
Position: Supervisor, Computing
Services
Summary of Duties and Responsibilities:
·
Administer the local area network of the
College by reviewing the server and network logs each day to
check abnormal indications; ensuring that e-mail, internet,
remote access and all related services are functioning at
optimum efficiency; minimizing network downtime; and
assuring server data integrity and security,
·
Maintain user login accounts, home
directories, and e-mail accounts,
·
Implement an efficient system for disaster
recovery, virus protection data security and Internet
security,
·
Coordinate with Internet service provider to
resolve Internet access and service issues,
·
Ensuring the development, management and
responsiveness of relevant Websites, electronic discussion
lists, and related activities,
·
Managing and supporting the College’s Video
Conferencing facilities,
·
In general, the incumbent is expected to
provide technical support to staff and students on the
various ICT Services of the College that include
communications (voice, video, high performance
data/messaging networks), and development and management of
different databases,
·
Other duty as assigned by the College
Management.
Qualification
and Work Experience
MSc or BSC in Computer Science, Computer Engineering,
Electrical Engineering or related field.
For MSc applicants, at least 4 years (in an area related to
the above listed tasks), out of which 2 years in supervisory
position. For applicants with BA degree, at least 6 years
(in an area related to the above listed tasks), out of which
3 years in supervisory position. Certifications on
Networking/Internetworking or related courses from
recognized institutions will be advantageous.
2 –
Administrative Positions
2.1 Position: Head – Planning and Business Development
Summary of Duties and Responsibilities:
-
Plan, coordinate, supervise and manage the overall
planning and business development activities of the
College;
-
On the basis of directions provided by the College
Management, prepare and present short, medium, and
long-term strategic plans of the College;
-
Plan and develop the marketing and financial strategy of
the College based on the overall strategic plans of the
College;
-
Study and propose a portfolio of planned qualitative and
quantitative changes to the College Management;
-
Prepare and produce aggregate plan performance report of
the College on periodic basis;
-
Organize and manage required resources of planning and
business development,
- Other duty
as assigned by the College Management.
Qualification and Experience
The applicant must possess MSc/MBA/MA in Economics or
Business Administration or Marketing Management.
Well-experienced applicants with BSc/BA degree in Economics
or Business Management or Marketing Management can also
apply.
For MSc/MBA/MA applicants, 3 years, out of which 2 years is
in supervisory position (practical experience in the
planning, implementation and monitoring of strategic plans
and business development activities). For applicants with
BA/BSc degree, five to seven years, out of which three years
is in supervisory position. Experience at higher learning
institutions is advantageous.
2.2 Position: Head – Finance
Summary
of Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ensure all the
financial transactions are performed as per the rules and
regulations of the College,
- Control the budget of
the College and its proper utilization,
- Responsible for the
general administration of the budget of the College,
- Oversee the day to day
financial transaction of the College,

Ensure efficient,
effective, and qualitative financial functions,

Organize and manage
required resources of finance,
-
Report on major financial
plans, payments, budget request, and overall performance,
- Other duty
as assigned by the College Management.
Qualification and Experience
2.3
Position: Head – Purchase and Supply
Summary of Duties and Responsibilities:
-
Plan, organize, direct,
coordinate and supervise the purchase and supply (both
local and foreign) activities of the College;
-
Manage and control the
College’s purchase in order to maintain and ensure
continuous and adequate supply of needed resources to all
end users at all times;
-
Plan and direct the stores
and delivery operation of the College and carries out
annual inventory of supplies from control records;
-
Ensure that purchase and
supply regulations and procedures are properly
implemented, suggests the revision and changes of existing
ones and proposes new regulations and procedures related
to same at the College;
-
Direct and review
preparation of specifications and analysis of bids for
materials and equipments in consultation with end users;
-
Maintain sound relations
with all present and prospective venders and contractors
while negotiating for prices, condition of purchase,
delivery terms and other conditions of contract or supply,
-
Organize and manage
required resources of purchase and supply,
- Other duty
as assigned by the College Management.
2.4
Position: Internal Auditor
Summary of duties and responsibilities:
- Organize and manage the functions of internal audit of
the College.
- Undertake internal audit reviews across all activities
of the College;
- Develop and determine the College’s internal risk
assessment control system, control objectives and audit
program of the College;
- Evaluate the
reliability and integrity of the financial and operational
systems and information of the College;
- Identify recommendations for improvements that are
based on audit findings;
- Provide with periodic status reports of the internal
audit activities and findings,
- Other duty
as and when assigned.
Summary of Duties and Responsibilities:
- Receive, analyze and edit requisitions for the
purchase of materials, supplies and equipment.
- Confer with the user departments concerning the
availability, cost and use of commodities.
- Analyze quotations and determines the most suitable
vendors.
- Advise user departments and vendors regarding
appropriate purchasing methods and procedures.
- Investigate and resolves complaints related to receipt
of goods and performance of services.
- Maintain detailed purchasing records including
commodity and service codes.
- Assist senior staff on large purchasing projects.
- Use computerized systems to process purchase order,
research vendors and produce reports as required.
- Perform related duties and responsibilities as
assigned.
Qualification and Work Experience
Diploma in Purchasing and Supply Management from recognized
institutions of higher learning.
At least two years of experience in purchasing activities at
higher academic institutions.
